The first project for the Apparel 1 course is the T-shirt. The students learn about knit fabrics and the different ways to construct knit fabric. Everyone started by creating their own pattern using a block or sloper. The next step was to layout, pin, and cut the fabric. After this, they created practice swatches of different techniques before sewing their T-shirt. Please look through all of the designs and click on them to enlarge. This group of students is focused and very creative. I can't wait to see what they do with the next project!
