Fall 2009 | Project 5 - Jeans

The final project for the Apparel 1 students was denim jeans. This project combined many different techniques such as zippers, waistbands with interfacing and multiple pattern pieces.
All of the students felt challenged but seemed to enjoy this project. It was a great semester and I hope everyone will continue sewing!

Fall 2009 | Project 4 - Bodice With Darts

The bodice with darts project was created to help students sew darts at different points on the body. A total of eight darts were sewn by each student on these half scale mannequin patterns. Any fabric could be chosen and many students decided to add their creative touch!

Fall 2009 | Project 3 - Fur Shrug with Lining

The fur shrug was a fun project. It was challenging to work with a tricky fabric and a slick satin that was used for the lining. The results were fabulous and so was the inspiration board that the students created so I thought I'd included it in this post. Stay tuned for the final project...
