The last project of this semester is the Kimono. The students have chosen a woven fabric that is more challenging than any we have used this whole semester. Then they altered their patterns to their original design idea based on their fashion illustration. Some of them experienced how slippery fabrics such as a chiffon or rayon can be when laying out the fabric for cutting. Overall, the students did an excellent job and I am so proud of them. This class of students has really pushed themselves to more than the minimum requirements and you can see that in their choices of textiles and deign details.
