Spring 2011 | Project 3 - Lace Shrug

Lace is a beautiful fabric to use although it does take practice to create accurate seams and seam finishes. The students began this project by tracing pattern blocks and then adding standard pattern labeling. The next step was to cut the fabric carefully. The shoulders and underarm seams were then sewn up. Every student designed their shrug with a unique trim. There are many different trims including scalloped edges, chains and even ruffled collars. Enjoy viewing all the hard work that went into these little cover ups.
